Scrollytelling for Climate Data

Climate change poses a growing threat of storm surges to the Kiel Region.

For new modeling and scenario maps, we developed an interactive scrollytelling website as a supporting communication measure.

We translated raw hydrodynamic data and cartographic information into an engaging narrative experience. Key concepts like storm surge, return period, and bathtub effect are explained through clear animations, while map content unfolds as users scroll through the website.
